One of the greatest challenges we face in the industry is CUI (Corrosion under insulation). Conventional methods of inspection require removing or altering existing insulation which is costly and time consuming. By using state of the art Pulsed Eddy Current we are able to screen pipes and vessels without removing or cutting insulation which saves both time and money. Pulsed eddy current is able to scan the parent metal through various types of insulation as well as through stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel weather jackets. Pulsed Eddy Current is also a great tool for scanning through scabbing both above and below the water line.
